Elopements are great for the couple that wants to wed quickly and privately. Katherine reached out to discuss capturing their elopement in May. I am a fond lover of small ceremonies as I believe in keeping it simple. Therefore, I was thrilled when I was booked to capture their Elopement out in West Chester. This was an absolute dream and the day was absolutely perfect. On a beautiful Spring day, Brian and Katherine set out to West Chester, PA to wed in at the Chester Courthouse. Cool fact: Katherine’s greatest of great grandfathers that designed the original courthouse in the area. It was a moment back in history for the pair to photograph their first look portraits at this beautiful building with gorgeous pillars and historical architecture.
After a moment to relish it all, the pair walked off to the courthouse where they met with the wonderful Honorable Judge Robert Shenkin in his office. After an exchange of vows under the watchful eye of her twin sister, they became husband and wife. Simple, emotional, and perfect. After that, we traveled to Longwood Gardens where the trio celebrated and exchanged personal vows in front of a scenic waterfall.
It reminded me of my own wedding day minus the fact we failed to hire a photographer. Memories I hope I will never forget. For these two, the memories will be with them always with these beautiful photographs. Congratulations, Brian and Katherine!
