This fall I have been on a roll with documenting love. Just a few weeks ago I met up with a couple who will be getting married in Summer 2015! Then I had the pleasure of seeing two more engaged couples last weekend ( stay tuned! I’ll be posting about them soon! ). This was a bit of a different take on an engagement session and one I eagerly AGREED to do when I learned what the client was trying to do. They wanted me to document the proposal in the action. That’s right! I was there to capture the proposal in secret! I was thrilled at the opportunity and was absolutely amazed at the scene he chose to propose at. Client M went above and beyond to really give his girlfriend a memorable surprise proposal photography session in the greater Philadelphia area.
It’s the sessions like this one that reminds me why I took this up as a full-time job. This is what I have always dreamed of doing. I’ve wanted wanted to be the artist behind a documented story of photographs told through my eyes yet created for others to appreciate. One year ago on this month, I told myself it was time to finally peruse what I have loved doing for years and make it a living. It’s been a slow start with a bit of a slow climb but I’m starting to really feel like this decision was the best one. I’m finally doing what I set out to do some years ago when I attended art school. I’m finally putting the years worth of education to use. I’m finally doing what makes ME happy … and I’m so happy that I was part of it.
I think it’s important to hire a photographer who loves what they do. Anyone can set up a business and snap a photo. Not many can take that photo and make it a work of art. That’s what I am. An artist. I’m a photographer with a vision and that’s what I bring to all my sessions. I create. I am in the business of documenting feelings, love, joy, bliss, and more. I love being a Philadelphia Engagement Photographer and I can’t wait to do more. Now, my first love will always be Child and Family Photography, but I am starting to love capturing love.
My autumn sessions are very popular but quickly filling up! I still have a few autumn dates available. With November right around the corner, soon the weather will be much too cold for outdoor sessions. If you’re interested in doing an Engagement Session in the Philadelphia area, please contact me today and let’s set something up! We’ll talk and create a beautiful session just for you and your loved one. Oh, and did I mention that I’m also a same-sex engagement photographer and same-sex family photographer, too? Love is love. Let’s create a story!
