Erikka + Tiffany had trouble looking for a photographer for reasons that really should not be a reason. When they contacted me to ask, I told them it was NO problem at all. If you’re asking what the problem was exactly there wasn’t any. (: Just two people who wanted to get married like everyone else. Love is love. They were fun, beautiful, and full of love and energy. They showed as much during their engagement in fall. I fell in love with them and couldn’t wait to do their wedding.
As I look back at the weddings I’ve shot last year, it’s hard to believe I almost said no with continuing. I told myself that I was not cut out to do weddings. I thought there was no joy in it. But then I look back at the photos I shot of this gorgeous wedding and I realize I need to give myself more credit. I made these two laugh. I made these two smile. GENUINE smiles! I captured emotion, tears, love, and laughter. I turned an ordinary day into a beautiful, vivid memory. How can I look at this and say no?
That’s why I’m booking brides for 2017 and out. I want to create more stories. I want to capture more emotions. I am going to continue celebrating and capturing the happiest day of another couple’s life again, and again, and again. I had to look at this gallery with fresh eyes to appreciate it. As an artist, I am my own worst critic. That harsh criticism of myself nearly stopped me from pursuing this further. I’m glad it didn’t. I’m glad I opened my portfolio today, saw these images, and realized I’m on the right path.
These two were so beautiful. Erikka and Tiffany both smiled throughout their day while friends and family all celebrated along with them. The music, the laughter, and the dancing honey! I think my favorite part about this wedding is that the bride made sure her daughter was part of it all. I loved it.What a beautiful gift to give to her daughter for her to appreciate for years to come.
Take me to your wedding. Philadelphia, Jersey, New York, or even out of this country. Let me do this again! Because there is no better story than the story of two people in love. It’s quickly becoming my favorite story to tell.
